There are so many uses for our candle jars once your candle has finished. This blog is all about ways to clean out your jar and a few suggestions of how they can be reused.
Step 1: Scrape Wax
When you reach the bottom of your candle, scrape out any wax that is left. Try to scrape out as much as you can. Anything left will be washed down the drain so make sure this is kept to a minimum.
Step 2: Add to a Burner
If you have a wax burner, pop any wax you scrap out into your burner to continue to enjoy the fragrance for longer. if you don’t have wax burner, this wax can be thrown away as waste.
Step 3: Remove the Wick Holder
After you’ve removed the wax, it’s time to remove the wick holder. This should come out easily, without much persuasion. The jar should now be empty and will be ready to wash out.
Step 4: Wash with Warm Soapy Water
Wash out the jar with warm soapy water. This will help to take off any wax that is still stuck to the glass. Rinse it out with warm water to make sure the glass is completely clean.
Step 5: Wipe Dry
Your glass should now be completely clean. The last step is to dry it using a towel, drying any traces of water. Once the glass is clean and dry it is ready for you to fill with whatever you choose.
